How did you get into the business?
We were looking for a place to host our churches web site and all we could find were some of the other larger free communities. We came up with the idea of ILoveJesus.com to give away free sites for Christians and churches. After about a year, free clients turned into hosting accounts. About then also, the advertising revenue started to plummet on the Internet. What we did at that point was advertise Christianwebhost on ILoveJesus.com. Presently, we are able to show about 1,500,000 banners per month for Christianwebhost on the ILoveJesus.com sites. Being a targeted client audience, it has really proven successful. God has blessed us immensely.

BACKGROUND

In 1998, I was working for Atlantic Video as their MIS director and our executive producer came to me and asked about web design. I could design a website, but knew nothing about web hosting. I decided to try my hand at design and quickly looked for a reseller solution for the hosting. I was lucky enough to find a reseller company using the Alabanza network. I opened my accounts up and started to market my new hosting venture. After about six months of gaining new clients, I was able to contact Alabanza directly and leased my first server.

We have numerous locations and have over 20 outsourced support professionals that provide real 24x7 customer support, 365 days a year. Our success could not have been possible without the hard work of Alabanza and the long-term, positive relationship we have had with them over the years.

How did you get into the business?
I’m a full-time teacher and coach of a swim team, and was looking for a way to relay information to members of the swim team via a website. Soon after, I happened to meet a guy with a web hosting company, who happened to be a hosting reseller for the Alabanza Corporation. After having met the reseller (who tried to talk me into becoming a web hosting reseller for him), I decided to become my own web hosting company. Considering the awesome niche market, I thought that it was pretty easy to set up my own website and sell my own web hosting products and services (via Alabanza’s Business Builder services)...and I was right! It has been a total learning experience for me, and not only helped me with my web hosting business, but in other ways. Now I also teach others how to design their own websites! I am very glad that I happened to "stumble" across this business opportunity.
